In the kitchen, bathroom and basement, we are using Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) and the rest of the house will be hard wood flooring. I give all my thanks to my awesome friend Mindy for the ideas of VCT, after she did it in her house many many years ago we put it in our current home. In the Gym & Bath, and now all over 1214 Hillcrest!I LOVE IT!

Love the tile, especially in the playroom! We're getting estimates on finishing our basement, and I really want to pass on carpet, since it'll mostly be playroom with trikes and paint and who knows what! Maybe VCT is a good way to go.
